Injection-Moulded Elbows for Thermoplastic Pipelines
UNP’s Thermoplastic Elbow is an injection-moulded short-radius fitting for compact 90° or 45° directional changes. Smaller footprint than a long-radius bend — preferred where space is tight or where pressure drop is not a primary concern.
Socket-weld ends are standard for heat-fusion assembly with our matching pipe and couplings. The thicker wall at the inside corner of the bend ensures the elbow matches the pipe’s pressure rating despite the directional change.
Available in PP, PPH, PVDF, and ISO.PP — matching the pipe material in your line. For high-flow or abrasive-service applications, consider our long-radius Bends instead.
Why Choose This Fitting
- ✓Short-radius 90° or 45° bend
- ✓Socket-weld ends (butt weld option)
- ✓Injection moulded (uniform wall)
- ✓Compact footprint vs long-radius bends
- ✓PP / PPH / PVDF / ISO.PP materials

Materials of Construction
| Material | Description |
|---|---|
| PP (Polypropylene) | General-purpose, low-cost option for mildly corrosive media at moderate temperatures. |
| PPH (Polypropylene Homopolymer) | Higher mechanical strength than PP — better for pressure service. |
| PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) | Superior abrasion resistance and high mechanical strength. |
| ISO.PP (Isotactic Polypropylene) | Improved temperature and chemical resistance vs standard PP. |
Connection Types Available
| Connection | Description |
|---|---|
| Socket Weld | Heat-fused socket joints for permanent, leak-tight assemblies. |
| Butt Weld | End-to-end heated fusion for in-line pipe sections. |
| Threaded | Removable threaded fittings for serviceable connections. |
| Flanged | Bolted flange joints for easy disassembly and inspection. |
