Long-Radius Bends for Thermoplastic Pipelines
UNP’s Thermoplastic Bends are gentle, long-radius directional changes preferred over short-radius elbows for high-flow lines, abrasive slurries, and applications where pressure drop matters. The 3D bend radius (3x pipe OD) keeps flow smooth and prevents erosion at the inside corner.
Available in 45°, 60°, and 90° bend angles. Bends are formed from pipe stock (same material as the line) rather than cast or moulded — preserving the full pipe wall thickness and pressure rating through the curve.
For sharp-corner installations where space is at a premium, our injection-moulded Thermoplastic Elbows are the alternative.
Why Choose This Fitting
- ✓Long-radius (3D) bends — lower pressure drop
- ✓45° / 60° / 90° bend angles
- ✓Formed from pipe stock (full wall thickness)
- ✓PP / PPH / PVDF materials
- ✓Sizes DN 25 through DN 200

Materials of Construction
| Material | Description |
|---|---|
| PP (Polypropylene) | General-purpose, low-cost option for mildly corrosive media at moderate temperatures. |
| PPH (Polypropylene Homopolymer) | Higher mechanical strength than PP — better for pressure service. |
| PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride) | Superior abrasion resistance and high mechanical strength. |
| ISO.PP (Isotactic Polypropylene) | Improved temperature and chemical resistance vs standard PP. |
Connection Types Available
| Connection | Description |
|---|---|
| Socket Weld | Heat-fused socket joints for permanent, leak-tight assemblies. |
| Butt Weld | End-to-end heated fusion for in-line pipe sections. |
| Threaded | Removable threaded fittings for serviceable connections. |
| Flanged | Bolted flange joints for easy disassembly and inspection. |
