UNP’s Control Plug Valve is the actuated version of our PFA-lined plug valve. Pneumatic or electric quarter-turn actuators are factory-fitted to the lever mount or gear drive, with the same chevron PTFE sealing and dove-tail-anchored lining as the manual version.
The tapered plug design wipes the seat with every rotation, making this the preferred control valve for slurry-laden process media, viscous chemicals, or any service where ball valves tend to foul. Both standard PFA-lined and Sleeved (TFCOR sleeve) plug constructions are available.
The full-bore plug delivers minimal pressure drop in the open position and tight shutoff in the closed position — ideal for batch reactor isolation, sludge transfer lines, and tank-bottom drains.
