Thermoplastic Valves
Solid-plastic, corrosion-resistant valves moulded from PP, PPH, PVDF, and ISO.PP — a lightweight, cost-effective alternative to lined valves for mild to moderately corrosive service. Manufactured in-house since 1988, with sizes from 1/2″ upwards.
Solid-Plastic Corrosion Solutions Since 1988
UNP began in 1988 with solid thermoplastic valves — a single, machined plastic body construction with no internal lining. Today this range covers ball, butterfly, diaphragm, check, sampling, foot, and strainer valves, all moulded from chemically inert engineering plastics.
Thermoplastic valves are the right choice when your media is mildly to moderately corrosive, operating temperatures are below the plastic’s service limit, and weight or cost is a key driver. They install fast, never rust, and require no painting or external coating.
Every valve is leak-tested before dispatch and is fully compatible with our thermoplastic pipe & fittings range, giving you a complete single-material piping system from valve to flange.
- Lightweight construction
1/3 the weight of metal equivalents - Cost-effective alternative
lower price vs lined metal valves - 100% corrosion-free body
no painting, no external coating needed - Wide material choice
PP, PPH, PVDF, ISO.PP - Fast on-site installation
easy handling, fewer accessories - Complete piping system

9 Thermoplastic Valve Types in This Category
From isolation to non-return, sampling to filtration — every solid-plastic valve UNP manufactures.
Thermoplastic Ball Valves
Quarter-turn isolation in solid PP, PPH, or PVDF — flanged and threaded options.
Thermoplastic Butterfly Valves
Compact wafer-style disc valves for large-bore mildly corrosive lines.
Thermoplastic Diaphragm Valve
Bubble-tight shutoff with full media-flow separation — ideal for slurries.
Thermoplastic Ball Check Valve
Self-operating non-return for protecting upstream equipment from reverse flow.
Thermoplastic Swing Check Valve
Low-pressure-drop non-return for horizontal thermoplastic pipelines.
Thermoplastic Sampling Valve
Safe, controlled extraction of process media for QC and lab analysis.
Thermoplastic Foot Valve
Self-priming non-return valve with built-in strainer for pump suction lines.
Thermoplastic Sight Glass
Visual flow indicator with transparent body for monitoring corrosive media.
Thermoplastic Strainer
Y-type and basket-type strainers for debris removal in thermoplastic lines.
Choose the Right Plastic for Your Media
Solid-body thermoplastic valves are available in four engineering plastics — chosen to match temperature, chemical compatibility, and mechanical demands.
General-purpose, low-cost option for mildly corrosive media at moderate temperatures.
Higher mechanical strength than PP — better for pressure service.
Excellent chemical resistance and high mechanical strength.
Improved temperature and chemical resistance vs standard PP.
Which Should You Choose?
Both ranges resist corrosion — the right choice depends on temperature, pressure, and budget.
- Media is mildly to moderately corrosive
- Operating temperature is moderate
- Weight reduction is important
- Budget is a key constraint
- Pressure rating up to PN 10/16 suffices
- Media is highly aggressive / pure
- Higher temperature service required
- Higher pressure ratings needed
- Pharma / semicon purity demanded
- Long service life is critical
